Quiet Mornings

Lately, I find myself waking up early and looking out my bedroom window. I wake up to the slow rising sun peeking through the blinds accompanied by the sweet summer whispers of critters outside. I feel Baby B move around my tummy from left to right trying to find a comfy new spot. I try to find him by placing my hand where I think he is. I close my eyes embracing Baby B the only physical way I can and wonder what he will feel like in my arms. I can't help but smile in knowing he is alive within me and one day closer arriving earth bound.

These quiet mornings I am also greeted with the thoughts of Christ. I seek Him through the peace of these wonderful summer mornings. I wonder what gift I will receive today from Him. I wonder what I will see today that will bring me closer to understanding and knowing Him better. I wonder if it's through the birds chirping, the sweet face from my dog, or will it be through a stranger I encounter while running errands.

These quiet mornings are special. I have a feeling that if we wake up early enough where the streets are still lonely and the air has a bit of coolness we can witness either within us, or around us Christ's divinity one way or another.

John 1:14 KJV

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
