Life Lately
Holy smokes guys we are so close into welcoming the new year in a matter of days!! Single digits!
Life lately has been extremely sweet once again. The blessings manifesting themselves within our family has been in abundance. Family gatherings are merrier, laughs are stronger and louder. The service to others in need has been given with pure Christ-like love, and constantly living in daily thanksgiving with humble hearts has proven to us that this Christmas season truly is special. This year my little family and I spent Christmas Eve, as well as Christmas Day, alongside my parents, sister- Gabi, and her boyfriend, Blair. It was like it came straight out of a movie! I had no idea how spiritually wonderful it would be to have Christmas land on a Sunday. I had never felt our chapel move in such a way with singing praises to our Almighty than that on Christmas Sabbath. It was such a sacred moment for me to witness. Shortly, after church the whole gang and I drove down to Washington's Crossing for the reenactment. This Christmas I was grateful for Mary accepting her calling to become the Earthly mother for our Savior. I was grateful for Joseph, assuming the role as father, protector, and provider to Jesus. I was grateful for the true gospel. I was grateful for families that love one another and aim to serve one another with simple acts of kindness. I was grateful for our freedom as Americans. I was grateful for President George Washington, and his soldiers and all they had sacrificed to pave the way to freedom and liberty. This Christmas was a dream made into a reality.

"Our celebration of Christmas should be a reflection of the love and selflessness taught by the Savior. Giving, not getting, brings to full bloom the Christmas spirit. We feel more kindly one to another. We reach out in love to help those less fortunate. Our hearts are softened. Enemies are forgiven, friends remembered and God obeyed. The spirit of Christmas illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things. To catch the real meaning of the spirit of Christmas, we need only drop the last syllable, and it becomes the Spirit of Christ." -Thomas S. Monson
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Cordially,
